Kathleen (Katie) Prasser - President
Katie Prasser is President of Grove Consulting, LLC, an independent, woman-owned management consulting firm based in the Washington, DC metro area. Combining more than three decades of experience gained in multiple industries with organizations at all stages of the business life cycle, Katie offers insightful, practical, and affordable services that help leaders, teams, and organizations realize their full potential and create sustainable impact. Her services include strategic planning, organization change, leader and team development, and stakeholder engagement. Katie’s clients include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Agriculture (USDA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), several organizations in the California Agriculture community, and numerous local county governments. Prior to launching her own consulting practice in 2008, Katie served in leadership roles in the non-profit, local government, telecommunications, financial, and DoD contracting industries. Katie has a Master’s degree in Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science, is a Prosci Certified Change Management professional, and is also certified in numerous psychometric assessment tools.
Jennifer Duff - Vice President
Jennifer Duff is a seasoned change management and human capital professional with over 20 years of experience transforming organizations to streamline operations and align the workforce to new ways of doing business. She focuses on the intersection of people, process and change to guide client organizations to adopt new practices and drive accountability for measuring progress toward change. She was recognized as Workforce Magazine’s Game Changer of the Year for her innovative people-management practices and the ability to foster a culture of trust, respect and empowerment. Ms. Duff holds a PMP, is a Prosci-certified change practitioner and has successfully managed several highly visible projects at the C-suite level. In 2018, Ms. Duff served as ACMP-DC’s volunteer program coordinator and established the foundation for a sustainable, strengths-based program. She sees opportunities on the horizon for the chapter to align the change management practice to monumental shifts in the industry (e.g., artificial intelligence (AI)), build relationships with private, non-profit and Government teams to share best practices and build bridges with other professional organizations to offer holistic development opportunities to members. Tamia Ward-Blakely - Secretary
Ms. Tamia Ward-Blakley, Senior Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, is a senior leader in the talent and change management practice within the Civilian Services Group. With over 19 years of professional experience, Tamia has led federal government and global private sector clients to implement change management, talent management, data analysis and IT integration initiatives. As a strategic functional advisor, she works with clients to shape and define strategy and execute plans to drive innovative solutions. As a former civilian within the Federal Government, Tamia supported organizational strategy and people-focused initiatives across various roles. Prior roles also include a career in financial services, as a Financial Advisor. As Secretary, Tamia would like to enhance governance and operations to deliver a high-quality ACMP DC member experience, integrate chapter initiatives and influence engagement with chapter members. Tamia holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor and possesses a Graduate Certificate in Change Management from Georgetown University. She holds a Master LeMarsh Managed Change Certification, Master Strategic Human Capital (MHCS) Certification, Strategic Workforce Planning Certification (SWP), and Change Management Advance Practitioner (CMAP) Certification. She serves on the board of directors for the YMCA Loudoun County and is a member of the National Association of Female Executives, the Association of Change Management Professionals, the Society of Human Resource Management, and CALIBR.
Larry Chomicki- Treasurer
Larry Chomicki is a change management professional and business leader with over 20 years of experience developing and executing robust change, process optimization and communication programs that target all organizational levels (enterprise/division/business unit). He has worked with associates across multiple industries including financial services, communications, technology, not-for-profits and is currently the Director of Change Management for ICMA-RC’s Future Focus division. During his tenure at ICMA-RC, Larry has provided change leadership for corporate-wide transformational projects (e.g., multiple Salesforce deployments, other large recordkeeping system implementations and business process optimization/implementation efforts), as well as corporate-level strategic planning, the launch and management of an operational risk management department and several new product launches from concept to realization. Prior to his current role at ICMA-RC, he worked as a consultant at Accenture and Evans Incorporated, leading change management projects and delivering value to clients such as Verizon, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) among others. Larry is passionate about continuous learning and has successfully completed Prosci’s Change Management Certification Program and is currently working on his Advanced Change Practitioner certification. He also earned his PMP from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and his CCMP from ACMP. He received his undergraduate degree in English Education from SUNY Albany and his MBA from George Mason University. Larry is very excited at the opportunity to serve ACMP and work to advance its mission, promote the change management discipline and get to meet other ACMP members.
Kristen Wright, Ph.D. - Director, Public Relations
Kristen is a Manager in the Health Sector Practice at Guidehouse. She is Agile and Prosci certified, and in addition to change management, her consulting work has included business process reengineering, team building, strategic planning, public speaking, and strategic communications for a variety of clients within the Federal Governemnt. Before becoming a consultant, Kristen taught rhetoric, writing, and literature at The United States Naval Academy and at The Catholic University, where she earned her doctorate and she served for two years as the Graduate Student Association Director of Public Relations. She earned her MA from Texas A&M and her BA from Vanderbilt.
Robin Broadnax - Director, Membership
Robin Broadnax is the Change Management Practice Lead and a Senior Executive Coach at Suntiva Consulting, located in Falls Church Virginia. Robin has over 20 years of experience working in organizational development and change. Robin has change management experience in higher education, financial services, healthcare, and government. Robin is passionate about working with senior leaders to help them be more effective change sponsors. She also enjoys helping those leaders get the results they are seeking from their initiatives.
Robin has served on the ACMP DC New Member Committee this past year. She worked closely with the Membership Director to develop a virtual new member orientation. Her top goal is to grow the entire Change Management community in the DC metro and surrounding areas by helping members see the value that ACMP can bring to their professional lives. Inclusion is a top value for her, and as the Director of Membership she will work to ensure that every member feels included and welcome in the community. She wants to get to know as many members as possible. She really believes in the mission of ACMP DC and is extremely excited about where the organization is going!
Anne Marie DiNardo - Director, Communities of Practice
Anne Marie DiNardo is a change management leader who leverages her knowledge and expertise to advise government clients on implementing high profile programs. Her focus areas include strategic communications, user adoption, organizational change, public speaking, knowledge management, and storytelling. She is looking forward to leveraging these skills to advance the Federal CoP mission for professional collaboration and empowerment on behalf of the ACMP DC Chapter. Ms. DiNardo has given talks on incorporating change management into project plans for area project management Institute brown bags, and has made conference presentations on creating an impactful change culture. She currently implements outreach strategies for a DoD initiative that oversees research and development projects to innovate and modernize learning technology to benefit the U.S. Federal Government and its workforce. During her career, she has advised agency executives on change management best practices for government-wide IT modernization policy implementation, and developed innovative ways to use web-based tools to empower staff worldwide in support of a President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief program. She earned a Master’s degree in Communications, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University, a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Boston University, and a Bachelor's degree in Television-Radio from Ithaca College.
Matt Gaston - Director, Programs & Events
Matt Gaston currently is a Principal Consultant for Navigator Management Partners in their Organizational Change Leadership Practice, working with clients on business and technology transformation. Prior to joining Navigator, he spent 11 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, serving as Change Management Director, standing up a Change Management Organization (CMO) to lead corporate change management initiatives; and Senior Associate in Strategic Communications, building a 30+ FTE business in the Federal Space.
Prior to Booz Allen, Matt worked 15 years with United Way at the local, national and international levels in multiple communications and change management roles. Matt holds a BA in Political Science from Indiana University; and Graduate Certificates in Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) from Georgetown University and Organizational Change and Development from Hawaii Pacific University. He also holds a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), as well as a certification in Prosci, where he’s currently working to become an instructor.
Matt believes that programming is key to ACMPDC’s value proposition. A regular rhythm of meetings strengthens our network and provides platforms for learning. As Director of Program, Events and Training, he hopes to be able to build on existing momentum and provide even more opportunities for CM professionals to connect and learn.
Cristyn Cram - Director, Training
Cristyn Cram is a Senior Change Management Strategist at Booz Allen Hamilton where she leads large-scale corporate change initiates. She helped stand up Booz Allen’s first internal change management capability and has over eight years of experience helping leaders and employees navigate complex change ranging from new career models to multi-year cultural transformations.
Cristyn has been an ACMP DC Chapter member since the chapter's inception and currently serves as a volunteer on the chapter's Programming, Events, and Training (PET) Committee. She is an ACMP Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, and a Georgetown University certified Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP).
Having built her career through a combination of hands-on experience and professional development, Cristyn understands the value of training and development to career growth. She would love to give others the opportunity to broaden their change management expertise and is excited about the opportunity to evolve and expand the chapter’s training offerings with feedback from members.
