AJ Schuler, Psy.D. - President


A.J. is a business transformation consultant, executive coach and Principal of Schuler Solutions, LLC. Through 20 years of professional service, A. J. has led strategic change initiatives encompassing strategy, innovation, reorganization, and the implementation of new enterprise technologies, including accounting and resource planning systems. He has served both commercial and public sectors, including Campbell’s Soup, The National Institutes of Health, Blue Origin, the U. S. Department of Justice, and Marriott International, among others.  As Director of Membership, his focus on behalf of ACMP-DC is to support the development of a vibrant community of professionals who enhance their own capabilities and deliver measurable business value to the organizations they serve.  In the DC area, A. J. is a founding member of The Wharton Club of DC’s Leadership Council, and a past Graduate MBA Program Lecturer at The Wharton School, teaching negotiation. 


 Kathleen (Katie) Prasser - Vice President


Katie Prasser is President of Grove Consulting, LLC, an independent, woman-owned management consulting firm based in the Washington, DC metro area. Combining more than three decades of experience gained in multiple industries with organizations at all stages of the business life cycle, Katie offers insightful, practical, and affordable services that help leaders, teams, and organizations realize their full potential and create sustainable impact. Her services include strategic planning, organization change, leader and team development, and stakeholder engagement. Katie’s clients include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Agriculture (USDA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), several organizations in the California Agriculture community, and numerous local county governments. Prior to launching her own consulting practice in 2008, Katie served in leadership roles in the non-profit, local government, telecommunications, financial, and DoD contracting industries. Katie has a Master’s degree in Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science, is a Prosci Certified Change Management professional, and is also certified in numerous psychometric assessment tools.


Cynthia Hartman - Secretary



Cynthia Hartman has over 20 years of strategic communications experience in academic and corporate environments. After 17 years in marketing communications and teaching business communication courses at the University of Notre Dame, Cynthia landed in a change management role at the University of Texas at El Paso. There she managed the change management and communications aspects of a large, multi-institution PeopleSoft implementation. She discovered an affinity for supporting the people side of change and helping large organizations as they sought to minimize resistance to change while fostering positive perceptions of, confidence in, and long-term commitment to adopting new processes and practices. She went on to earn a certification in Prosci Change Management methodology and currently works as a change management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Relatively new to the Baltimore-Washington area, she is looking forward to serving the DC chapter as secretary, and connecting with DC area Change Management colleagues!



Larry Chomicki-        Treasurer

 Larry Chomicki is a change management professional and business leader with over 20 years of experience developing and executing robust change, process optimization and communication programs that target all organizational levels (enterprise/division/business unit). He has worked with associates across multiple industries including financial services, communications, technology, not-for-profits and is currently the Director of Change Management for ICMA-RC’s Future Focus division. During his tenure at ICMA-RC, Larry has provided change leadership for corporate-wide transformational projects (e.g., multiple Salesforce deployments, other large recordkeeping system implementations and business process optimization/implementation efforts), as well as corporate-level strategic planning, the launch and management of an operational risk management department and several new product launches from concept to realization. Prior to his current role at ICMA-RC, he worked as a consultant at Accenture and Evans Incorporated, leading change management projects and delivering value to clients such as Verizon, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) among others. Larry is passionate about continuous learning and has successfully completed Prosci’s Change Management Certification Program and is currently working on his Advanced Change Practitioner certification. He also earned his PMP from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and his CCMP from ACMP. He received his undergraduate degree in English Education from SUNY Albany and his MBA from George Mason University. Larry is very excited at the opportunity to serve ACMP and work to advance its mission, promote the change management discipline and get to meet other ACMP members.  


Kristen Wright, Ph.D. - Director, Public Relations

Kristen is a Manager in the Health Sector Practice at Guidehouse.  She is Agile and Prosci certified, and in addition to change management, her consulting work has included business process reengineering, team building, strategic planning, public speaking, and strategic communications for a variety of clients within the Federal Governemnt. Before becoming a consultant, Kristen taught rhetoric, writing, and literature at The United States Naval Academy and at The Catholic University, where she earned her doctorate and she served for two years as the Graduate Student Association Director of Public Relations. She earned her MA from Texas A&M and her BA from Vanderbilt 


Robin Broadnax -       Director, Membership

Robin Broadnax is the Change Management Practice Lead and a Senior Executive Coach at Suntiva Consulting, located in Falls Church Virginia.  Robin has over 20 years of experience working in organizational development and change.  Robin has change management experience in higher education, financial services, healthcare, and government.  Robin is passionate about working with senior leaders to help them be more effective change sponsors.  She also enjoys helping those leaders get the results they are seeking from their initiatives.   

Robin has served on the ACMP DC New Member Committee this past year. She worked closely with the Membership Director to develop a virtual new member orientation.  Her top goal is to grow the entire Change Management community in the DC metro and surrounding areas by helping members see the value that ACMP can bring to their professional lives.  Inclusion is a top value for her, and as the Director of Membership she will work to ensure that every member feels included and welcome in the community.  She wants to get to know as many members as possible.  She really believes in the mission of ACMP DC and is extremely excited about where the organization is going!

Elizabeth (Liz) Johnson - Director, Communities of Practice

 Elizabeth (Liz) Johnson is an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant with E&M Johnson Associates, LLC.  She has experience working with public and private sector as well as international clients.  Liz started her career with Price Waterhouse working with the State of Maine managing the OCM, communication and training activities for the implementation of a number of ERP applications.  Recently she developed and implemented change management strategies for large pharmaceutical implementing multiple systems, a large distributor implementing a data governance program and is currently working on OCM and communication activities for system implementation for a large transportation client. Previously, Liz was a Senior Manager at Capgemini and a Director at Sogeti.   As a Director at Large, Liz looks forward to focusing on continuing to build out the Federal Community of Practice, as well as support other ACMP DC board activities.   She has a BA in Communications from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and an MBA from Joseph M. Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Matt Gaston - Director, Programs, Events, and Training

Matt Gaston currently is a Principal Consultant for Navigator Management Partners in their Organizational Change Leadership Practice, working with clients on business and technology transformation. Prior to joining Navigator, he spent 11 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, serving as Change Management Director, standing up a Change Management Organization (CMO) to lead corporate change management initiatives; and Senior Associate in Strategic Communications, building a 30+ FTE business in the Federal Space.

Prior to Booz Allen, Matt worked 15 years with United Way at the local, national and international levels in multiple communications and change management roles. Matt holds a BA in Political Science from Indiana University; and Graduate Certificates in Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) from Georgetown University and Organizational Change and Development from Hawaii Pacific University. He also holds a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), as well as a certification in Prosci, where he’s currently working to become an instructor.

Matt believes that programming is key to ACMPDC’s value proposition. A regular rhythm of meetings strengthens our network and provides platforms for learning. As Director of Program, Events and Training, he hopes to be able to build on existing momentum and provide even more opportunities for CM professionals to connect and learn.

Rhonda Farrell - Director, Business Development and Sponsorship

Dr. Farrell’s experience includes three decades of international and domestic support in technical and management consulting and various associated organizational roles to Fortune 500 commercial firms, state, and federal government entities in the areas of engineering, operations, quality, and cybersecurity. She has significant experience providing organizational change management, strategic development and alignment, business transformation, business process improvement, quality management, training, and integrated knowledge management services, as aligned to functional area verticals, as well as ‘total firm’ mandates, associated with Baldrige, ISO 9000, and (Lean) Six Sigma initiatives. Additionally, over the last 10 years she has in parallel focused on providing a wide range of change management related services to growth and governance maturing initiatives surrounding non-profit organizations providing services to the cyber, quality, and STEM arenas.

Rhonda pledges to work to create domestic and international change management-oriented business development partnerships and sponsorships which focus on increasing member value, creating additional revenue flows, broadening organizational impact, and influencing the wider adoption of applicable best practices, processes, frameworks, techniques, and tools within academia, commercial, government, and non-profit industries.
