1-Year Term as Vice President; 1-Year Term as President
The Vice President is the de facto President-elect. In the absence of the President or in the event of his/her inability or refusal to act, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have and may exercise all the powers of the President. The Vice President shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or by the Chapter Board. The office of Vice President shall not be held by the same person who holds the office of Secretary or Treasurer (or both).
Develops strategy and goals for growth in membership; maintains and updates the chapter database of members and “friends” in the chapter’s association management system; responsible for the implementation of strategies to engage members and grow membership; reconciles membership data quarterly in collaboration with ACMP Global; manages and supports volunteers, committees and programs designed to foster and engage members and volunteers; responsible for the recruitment and orientation of volunteers to support board activities, including activities managed by other directors; responsible for measurement of member experiences of the chapter and its services, including but not limited to surveys.
Manages the development, scheduling, implementation and documentation of chapter events, guiding and supporting the efforts of volunteers, committees and other board members as necessary; manages the selection, implementation and documentation of training and certification programs offered to members; advises the board on programming strategy and manages the implementation and quality control of events and programs aligned with the strategy for programming approved by the board. (*Note that the current board will provide a recommended schedule of events and documentation of best practices to help this new Director get started.)
Manages the recruitment and development of sponsor relationships for the chapter, including sustaining sponsorships, event based sponsorships or other board approved sponsorship programs; advises the board on sponsorship development and sponsorship program strategy and implements strategies as approved by the board; ensures transparency and ethics in sponsorship activities and programming in compliance with standards set by the board; identifies and develops other institutional relationships to foster the chapter’s mission and as approved by the board for development, such as relationships with universities or other professional associations; manages the activities of any volunteers or committees necessary to fulfill the duties of this position.
